History of Tajweed:

The Quran was revealed to the Prophet Muhammad (SAW) with Tajweed. During the time of the Prophet and his companions, there was no need for formal Tajweed rules because they naturally recited the Quran correctly. However, as Islam spread and many non-Arabs embraced the faith, the need arose to teach them how to recite the Quran accurately. To address this, scholars developed the basic rules of Tajweed to ensure the proper recitation of the Quran.

Why is there a Need for Tajweed Rules?

Every letter of the Quran is a divine gift from Allah, and its recitation must be approached with the utmost seriousness and respect. Tajweed rules ensure that the Quran is recited as it was revealed, preserving its sanctity and meaning.
